LORI MAHER MCCOMBS

Born and raised in Chillicothe, Missouri, Lori Maher McCombs carried her Midwest roots and strong work ethic to the University of Missouri–Columbia, where she pursued her studies before beginning a career in the medical field.

In 1999, she founded Maher Group, LLC with a vision to help non-profit organizations thrive through expert management and exceptional convention planning. Her first partnerships—with the Johnson County Bar Association and the Human Resource Management Association of Greater Kansas City (now SHRM-KC)—set the foundation for the company’s continued growth and success.

Beyond her role as a business leader, Lori is a passionate volunteer dedicated to service and community impact. She has held key leadership positions, including Secretary/Treasurer for the SHRM Area IV Board, President of the Rotary Club of Johnson County, and Founding President of the Rotary Club of Western Johnson County. She is also an active member of the American Heart Association’s Circle of Red, supporting heart health initiatives.
