May Challenge: Get Fit Day, May 20th
Save the date for national Get Fit Day on May 20th. This month’s challenge depends on getting in some activity on this date.
Across All of UMB we are challenging associates to get up and moving. This year we have several challenges which can be completed regardless of your location.
- 10,000 Steps Challenge- One way to participate is to track your steps for the day. Those associates who reach 10,000 steps on May 20th can submit their step count to firstname.lastname@example.org be entered for a chance to win prizes. We will also award a prize for the associate with the most steps on Get Fit Day.
- How Many Can You Do Challenge- challenge your fellow associates to square off to see who can do the most sit ups or push ups (keep a total count for each person) and hold a plank position the longest (keep time). Submit your local winners to email@example.com to be entered for prizes. We will also award a prize for the winner of each category.
- What’s In Your Neighborhood Challenge- Submit a photo of what you see when you walk 100 steps from your work location to firstname.lastname@example.org to be entered for a chance to win prizes.
- Testimonial Challenge- Submit your story of your fitness/wellness accomplishment to email@example.com. Maybe you achieved a fitness goal or just went out of your way to do something different for the day. Whatever the accomplishment is for you, we want to hear about it! All submission will be entered for a chance to win prizes.
In Kansas City we will be hosting a variety of activities at Ilus W. Davis Park (across the street from the Tech Center). Join us for a group walk, test different fitness classes, complete one or more of the companywide challenges, and more! More specific details will be posted soon.
